Responding to needs beyond food and shelter that were laid bare by the pandemic’s disproportionate toll on low-income people of color, Junta launched a bi-monthly contactless Diaper Delivery Service. This is an essential service to New Haven's Latinx and immigrant community as the pandemic has made it difficult for low-income families to obtain and afford diapers. Since transitioning to a delivery service, Junta has distributed over 100 packages of diapers to families in need.
