English as a Second Language (ESL) classes

We offer six different ESL classes, where students are able to progress in their ability to read, write and communicate in English. Classes are offered in a small group setting where students are encouraged to get to know each other, work together and overcome their fear of making mistakes.

Morning classes are offered in partnership with Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven. All ESL morning classes integrate health, nutrition and well-being topics into class exercises and presentations about healthcare resources available in the community.
Monday and Wednesday, 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Junta office.

Evening classes are held in partnership with New Haven Adult Education. Students are placed based on their level, ranging from Survivor to Advanced.
Monday through Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Fair Haven School
