The Education and Community Outreach Program empowers community members to improve their lives and involvement in the social fabric of their communities through language access, promotion of literacy, both individual and family, and promotes a connection with the community, essential to fully thriving economically and socially.

WHAT WE DO
Adult Education offers courses for any client who walks into our doors and has low/moderate income. We have a range of courses and flexibility that are adapted to suit the growing and vast needs of our students.
Current Course Offerings:
Advanced Basic Literacy in Spanish English as a Second Language (ESL) classes with six different levels of ability
English General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Two levels of Spanish GED: Basic and Advanced
One-on-one citizenship/naturalization exam tutoring
We are flexible for working families through providing morning ESL classes, small groups of ESL tutoring, one-on-one tutoring and evening childcare.
In order to provide a wide range of courses, Junta partners with New Haven Adult Education who rovides instructors, and recruits volunteers to teach, tutor, or assist in our ESL and GED programs.
Community Outreach Program works to connect non-profits, businesses and community members in order to provide better education and support for issues not covered under our current programs. Community outreach activities include health workshops, health screenings and family literacy events.
