Jennifer Angarita
Dwight Hall Summer Fellow 2008

Jennifer Angarita hails from Dallas, Texas and is a rising junior at Yale University. She is considering a major in either history or anthropology. At Yale, Jennifer is Community Action chair for MEChA, social justice chair for STM Undergraduate Council, writes and edits for La Fuerza and is a dancer, choreographer and webmaster for the Yale Belly Dance Society. This summer she is helping develop JUNTA's Worker Center through various educational and organizational initiatives.

 

Rachel Plattus
Dwight Hall Summer Fellow 2008

Rachel lives in Westville, New Haven and is on the Board of Alderman for the City of New Haven. She is a rising senior at Yale and is interested in Urban politics and policy. She is assisting in grant-writing and the ESL program in JUNTA.

 

 

Sebastian Perez
President's Public Service Fellow 2008

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Sebastian is a currently a rising Junior at Yale University. He is pursuing a double major in American Studies and Ethnicity, Race and Migration. As a PPSF fellow at JUNTA, he will be evaluating the programs and services JUNTA offers. Sebastian is a founding member of OYE, a Mellon Mays fellow and president of ALIANZA, the alliance celebrating latin culture at Yale.

 

Chandler Coggins
Dwight Hall Urban Fellow 2007-8

Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Chandler is a rising junior in Yale College. Chandler is majoring in Humanities.

 

 

 

Jonathan Jimenez
President's Public Service Fellow 2008

Jonathan was born in Queens, New York, but grew up in riveting Central Florida. He is a rising senior at Yale. He flows in both English and Spanish.

Mr. Lee Hiromoto Jerusalem
Intern

Orginally from Wahiawa, Hawai'i, Lee graduated from Yale University in 2006, magna cum laude,    with the institution's first B.A. in Portuguese. At Yale he served on student government, worked as a  tour guide, and interned for the City of New Haven's Department of Traffic and Parking. Lee spent the summer of 2006 coordinating the Dwight Hall Summer Fellowship Program at Yale University. At Junta, he assisted with development, graphic design, information technology, and immigration policy.
